ACCOUNTABILITY IS THE QUALITY OR THE STATE OF BEING ACCOUNTABLE, ESPECIALLY AN OBLIGATION, OR WILLINGNESS TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY, TO ACCOUNT FOR ONE’S ACTIONS.
“Weight loss surgery accountability is a habit that you can use to keep yourself on track. The bottom line is everything that goes into our mouths is completely on us. No one’s forcing you to eat a bag of potato chips or Cheetos or the box of See’s candy that’s left on the desk at work. It’s time to get back on track, but is it hard to get back on track? It is, but there are things to remember. Are you weighing yourself weekly? Are you measuring your food? How about your protein, are you getting your protein in? We need to all take responsibility for who, what and where we are right now. How many times have you said, Oh, one Hershey’s kiss won’t matter,or If I don’t measure it this time it won’t matter.You know what? It does matter, because in the end what does it do? It all adds up.
Surgery does not cure obesity.I like this. What we have, is we were given a tool. And the bottom line is only you can control that tool. We could go out to lunch together and I could say to you, Don’t let me eat that.But do you have control over me? No, you don’t. And so you have to be responsible for everything you do. The bottom line is that you’re the one that’s accountable. It’s calories in versus calories out. Yes, you can eat all these calories but you have to burn them off. No one can do that for you. You have to do that for yourself.”
